Vehicle Description

This famous car/truck was built by Joe (Candyman) Bailon in 1952-53. He later sold it to Horace DAvi the owner of Betty Elizabeth Shampoo Company. From then on it was known as the "Shampoo Truck". It was the world's first Ranchero. He chopped the top 3", sectioned it 5" and made a removeable hardtop from a 4 door sedan. Quite a feat in it's day. After being stored for decades, it was restored by it's present owner, Bob Dron. This time it was put on a modern chassis with the following: Disc brakes, 700r4 trans, 9" Ford rear end, coil over shocks, 4 bar rear suspension, rack and pinion steering. All powered by a 1957 365c.i. Cadillac motor. This was all done to drive it in modern traffic. This is a well documented car and featured in many magazines over the years. This past year the car has been awarded the following: "2016 West Coast Kustoms Top 5 Wildest Kustoms". "2017 GNRS The Bruce Meyer's Preservation Award". The "2017 Goodguys Award of Excellence". And the "2017 Street Rodder's Top 100 Award". I have many photo's of the car being built and restored. Trades with Cash considered. $135,000. Call Bob 510-816-5004
