For Sale is a 1930 Ford Highboy Five Window. The car was originally bought for $25,000 by a great friend, who suddenly passed away. His sister, the executer of her brother’s estate, is selling the car.
He had the car body stripped to bear metal. Unfortunately, it was discovered that the body had TONS OF BONDO on it, in some places, an inch thick. All the Bondo was removed to bear metal. We have many pictures of this process. The doors had to be cut off and completely realigned and reinstalled for perfect alignment with the body lines. A new hood had to be fabricated to fit over the engine and a new trunk lid had to be skinned over new metal hand formed tubes to fit the body now that all the Bondo was stripped off. The inside of the body had to be reframed with metal tubes. The total amount of money spent on the body fabrication and paint (Viper Red) alone is over $20,000. The paint job is FLAWLESS.
The engine is a 350 or 383 with cam and high raise manifold with dual quads. The trans is a 350 0r 400 turbo. The rear end is 9 inch Ford extremely narrowed with tires 24 inches wide. The frame is custom made, boxed and molded and the suspension is also custom built Although it has the seat reupholstered with door panels, it still needs the head liner done and new carpet installed. The car runs out beautifully and is a lot of fun to drive, with tons of personality. $57,000 has been invested, and with an asking price of $26,000, this is a fantastic opportunity.
