1956 Chrysler 354 ci Hemi, Bored +.030”, 9.1 compression (will run on 89 octane), has Chrysler factory dual-quad intake with two Edelbrock 500 cfm carburetors , Vertex Mag converted to electronic ignition, forged rods, pistons, steel crank, Isky 280 Cam, chrome headers and Lakes pipes, complete chrome exhaust, adapter plate with GM turbo 350 trans, 10 inch B & M torque converter, Winters quick-change rear end, chrome under chassis includes drive shaft, shocks, rear leaf springs, and ‘40 Ford wishbone traction bars, F150 rear drum brakes with So-Cal finned covers, front suspension has Wilwood disk brakes, chrome shocks, chrome wishbones, dropped drilled front axle, interior is done in early 50's style with German short weave carpet, real ‘40 Ford steering column and 17” wheel, Stewart Warner “Wings” gauges, rare sprint car-type hand fuel pump, wheels are ‘40 Ford-style front and rear, new Excellsior-Stahl radials (5.00x16 front, 7.50x16” rear), Kilbourne fiberglass body painted Camaro Hugger orange, the steel hood has the dry lake style louvers with a cut outs for the Hemi valve covers, roadster comes with a tan cloth Carson-style lift-off top.
The roadster was selected as the “Deuce Doin’s Pick” at the Spring 2014 Goodguys Meet in Scottsdale, AZ. The car was featured in Street Rod Life magazine in the Spring, 2016 issue (Google: mimosa cruising street rod life). This car was built by the 1986 Riddler Award winner.
