1962 Rambler American. Professional ground up custom build at Link's Rod. Has an Art Morrison front clip and full custom chassis back half, Ford 9" rear end with 4 bar setup. Coilover shocks. Engine is a 1955 Chrysler 331 HEMI bored to 354 ci. with two Edelbrock 550 carbs. Mooneyes cast aluminum finned valve covers. Has power steering and air conditioning. Transmission is a GM 700R overdrive automatic with a B&M shifter. Boyd Coddington Junkyard Dog billet wheels, 20x10 and 18x7. GM bucket seats and a custom made rear seat. Interior is black leather with gold accent stitching done by Weber's Custom interiors. Body features include Custom mixed gold paint with satin charcoal accents, functional shaker hood, Cuda style exhaust in rear pan, front bumper license plate recess smoothed, and a 1963 Chrysler grille bar. Runs great and smooth, nothing drags or scrapes. Awards include: Street Rodder top 100 and top 10 for 2011, a handful of builders choice picks, and a top 25 at Shades of the Past. Draws a crowd at any car show!!
