This Cadillac was built in Detroit and shipped to Tulsa OK March 24th, 1941 which was ordered by a doctor. I was told by the second owner (we are the 3rd owners) he bought the coupe from the Doctor’s spouse when the Doc passed and had it shipped to his ranch near Rapid City, South Dakota. I bought it from the 92 old rancher who was selling off his collection in 2005 and I shipped it to Wisconsin. We drove it original for 2 summers and in the fall of 2006 started to modernize her.
Over a 9 year period the frame off build progressed as we wanted a Rusto-rod that could take us coast to coast. After many hours, a lot help from friends and professionals and over 160k invested we accomplished our goal (hundreds of photos of her evolution). There was zero rust on this car. The only patch panel is on the driver’s side firewall to receive the new steering column. Though we have not taken her to either coast she has been on numerous long distance trips with no issues and rides like a dream. Less than 8,500 miles (90% Hiway)
